Sizzleprint

Maker brand · Identity + motion

Sizzleprint was the name we used for the making side of the business: laser engraving, shirts, custom pieces, and even Snapchat geofilters. We were also planning to add 3D printing, which is where the name really clicked for me. Heat and production were already part of the work, so Sizzleprint felt like the right name for all of it.

The static mark is deliberately straightforward. A field of dots gathers around a central S, paired with a heavy wordmark. It is not a logo I need to pretend has twelve hidden meanings. What made it memorable was how those pieces could separate, move, and come back together.

The motion piece became more important than I expected. I shared the animated bumper in a graphic design Facebook group, and that post is what led the Cooking.Express client to contact me for her redesign. The animation was not just decoration. It became part of how the work got seen, and it led directly to more work.

Sizzleprint also reinforced something I still believe about identity systems: sometimes the mark on its own is only one part of the experience. The name, lockups, color, and motion can do more together than any one piece can do alone.

THE BUMPER THAT LED TO ANOTHER PROJECT. This three-second animation is the piece I shared in a design group that ultimately led to the Cooking.Express identity redesign.
